Service Description

Calm Minds is a child-friendly Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) programme with Dr. Dee (MBBS, certified RTT practitioner) for children and teenagers aged 11 and above. It helps young people release anxiety, fears and low confidence without medication. Each 90-minute session costs USD 449, online or in person in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with 1 to 3 sessions held once a week. Dr. Dee adapts every session to the child's age: with pre-teens he uses imagination, storytelling and relaxation, and with teenagers the work is closer to adult RTT. Parents are kept informed throughout. Who it is for • Children and teens with anxiety and worry • Students with school anxiety or exam stress, including O/L and A/L pressure • Young people with fears, low confidence or low self-esteem • Children with sleep difficulties or nightmares • Young people affected by bullying What is included • Age-adapted 90-minute RTT session(s), 1 to 3 sessions held once a week • A personalised recording for the child to listen to at bedtime for 21 days • Follow-up support • Guidance for parents on supporting the child at home Frequently asked questions Is hypnotherapy safe for children? Yes. Children naturally enter relaxed, imaginative states, and sessions are gentle and led by a medical doctor. A parent's consent is required for every child under 18. What age is Calm Minds for? Calm Minds is for children and teenagers aged 11 and above. Will I be in the room with my child? Pre-teens usually have a parent present, especially in the first session. Teenagers may prefer to speak privately, and parents are briefed afterwards. Can RTT help with exam stress? Yes. Many teenagers seek RTT to manage exam pressure, focus and confidence before O/L and A/L examinations. Important: this programme supports emotional wellbeing. It does not replace medical, psychiatric or psychological care. Children with a diagnosed condition should continue their existing treatment. If a child is at risk of harm, contact emergency services or Sri Lanka Sumithrayo on 0707 308 308.
